Retired 10 years now...
In Response To: Getting unplugged. ()

Yeah, you knew me back when... Old CW-SW board. When I first retired, I got into house jobs and boat jobs big time - probably working 12 hours a day. Habit. But, I've learned to taper off (and you will too). Can't remember the last time the TV was on to watch TV - usually it's on just to watch a favorite movie on DVD! Newspaper still comes daily, check the obits (am I listed?), read the comics (love Tundra), do the crossword (found you can buy books of crossword puzzles), and browse the letters to the editor. Worked part-time at Defender for a few years, but didn't get along with my boss (his problem).
Take each day as it comes, and at the end of the day, look back on what you enjoyed doing. I've found this tending more towards relation with other people, doing something that makes them smile, makes them laugh, or makes them say "thanks".
Above all, enjoy!
