I have a puck type receiver too that I use with my netbook...

via blue tooth. I run Sea Clear II (also free) with downloaded NOAA charts. So far I like it quite a bit.
I can run the puck off the USB from the netbook and run the netbook from an inverter. I have plenty of power underway since this setup is on my powerboat.
