Yes, that is true. 3G only no GPS on the wifi model.

A lot of people purchase the wifi only model thinking it has a GPS only to find it doesn't. The fix is easy though, you just get the puck for 30.00 and save 100.00 as the 3G model is 130.00 dollars more. When you get down to it, although a lot more expensive the 3G with a lot of memory is just better.
