It's a sad state that in some areas you can't find any decent fresh local foods. I think for we sailers, it's important to be able to find the stuff we need when we're not close to home. Often where the locals shop is just outside our range on foot, or it's hidden somewhere.

One thing I've learned is to ask(hard for some of to do) around. The locals will know where you have to go.

It's the same thing here in Maine especially for those new to an area. But if you ask somebody you can often find what you need. The Stop and Gos or whatevers have changed the landscape in many areas. If I had my way, I'd close them down.
