Susie loves to find them and we have been to several on our way down the coast, including Monterey, Oakland, Sausalito, tomorrow in Oxnard. Good thing we have the folding bikes aboard.

Back East, the Padanaram business district has been decimated. The grocery near the water closed years ago. It is a few miles on busy Dartmouth street to the nearest Stop and Shop. Apparently some developer bought up a lot of the waterfront in Padanaram with big plans to completely redevelop. He was stymied because he couldn't put in the necessary parking. It seems that underground parking garages don't mix so well with storm surge. A lot of good businesses folded when the developer raised the rent. That's the version of the story I heard anyway. Sad.
