but it just seemed unremarkable to me. But to each his own. I thought the extraordinary thing about Martha's Vineyard was that the three towns, so close together on the same island, are so vastly different in character. Edgartown kind of like a Nantucket wannabe, Oak Bluffs like a California beach town, and Martha's Vineyard similar to many New England villages.

We never seemed to get the "prevailing southwesterly" wind. Probably a good thing since we were headed generally southwest.
