What do you think it needs Paul?

I didn't know Effie had a wooden rudder. Mine wasn't too bad to remove. The rudder stock is separated from the shaft with a keyed joint and threaded shaft with a castle nut in the rudder stock.

There was a plate above the gudgeon that allowed the pintle to just clear by raising the rudder. The shoe stayed on the keel.

I had to loosen the quadrant to allow the shaft to slide through the quadrant and up enough so the rudder went up and inch or so, and fell aft.

Everything was good except for the drifts and bolts, they were just about all gone.
