I thought long and hard about it and figure I have two choices... the spring line while on the boat, or pushing the bow around before I jump on board. I don't like the idea of not being actually on board as the boat moves past the end of the slip... (especially when single handing)

So the spring line idea is what sounds best to me. Now if I can just keep the boat from just "torquing" in place right in the dock.
