I was struck by how much smaller the commercial lobster boats were back then. There were a number of tired old Novi boats in the harbor back then too, retired from working and bought for cheap being used as pleasure craft. But I don't see any in that photo.

This is where Brewer's is currently located. At the time we all thought the Travelift was pretty exotic piece of equipment. These were taken with my dad's Argus 35mm camera the summer before I entered my senior year at Freeport High.
