Damn! Does a dripless leak when new?

We splashed down yesterday around noon and brought the boat about 5 miles to it's current slip. When it was first put in the water it was 'bone dry' I noticed that it was dripping one drop every few seconds for the first couple of mile and was slowing by the time we arrived at the slip. Now,, it's dripping about one drop every 10 seconds. (Everything is new, shaft, coupler, cutlass bearing and dripless.)

Is this normal and the seal needs to seat?,,,, or is there possibly another problem that needs to be addressed? This is all new to me. I was going to call Lasdrop on Monday.

The black line in front of the seal is Magic Marker. You need to mark it and push 1/4" for the seal. I was thinking about pushing it just a bit more for more tension.

Lasdrop is suppose to be the best of the lot. I put it in as Evans put one on Hawk during his refit.
