it came in. But, it's true - it's not ideal.

Unless you a planning on swimming with it, make sure you have a long Shurhold-type boat pole that it will fit in. The small handle that comes with it is pretty useless, imo.

mnh - did you really spear and sink your dinghy with it?

Using this device calls for the utmost care: it is really unbelievably sharp. It's the closest thing I will ever get to actually owning a harpoon. The bigger danger isn't to the dinghy, it's to the user or crew. If that comes into contact with skin, you'll likely have a much bigger emergency than having a pot warp around your prop.
