I use a Verizon 3G hotspot on Drift Away to connect a laptop and an iPad to the internet. It works great and we like it a lot, except we have a 10 GB limit on data. Since we like to watch movies and Hulu, we can hit our limit easily if we're not vigilant.

Sprint has unlimited data plans. I understand that you can tether a cell phone to your laptop to access the internet. Would this be a good work around to watch online movies for live aboards like us? Has anyone here done it? Any recommendations? Droid vs. iPhone?

I've been doing a little research online, but I figure someone here has probably already sorted this out. No sense in reinventing the wheel.
