The islands to the east of Crotch are Green and Scott Islands(a no name island between). Rock island is between, Crotch and Green islands, and to the south
In this bay like area you can find protection from most any wind direction. This photo shows a yawl heading east through the Deer Isle Thoroughfare, the town dinghy dock is just beyond.
