I took a Power Squadron class at night when I was in Junior High School - shall we say a few years ago?
My mother - who had no interest in boats - took me and took the class too (I think she liked the part
about navigation). I passed the course (and so did my mother) and I was hoping to use this as
evidence for not having to take a Boating Safety class in CT when it became law in the state. I made
inquiries but to no avail.

PS: the Power Squadron course was far more extendive than the Boating Safety class which was
a waste of time except for the fact that it enables you to take the test to get the certificate.
