First, thanks for the post. I'm doing my best to understand the market and be realistic in my expectations.
I think you're confusing the 'Sailmaster 50' with the 'AS50' or perhaps even her older sister the 'Sailmaster 47'. Gulfstar manufactured 17 Sailmaster 50's and 4 are listed on Yachtworld. Until the last few days, ours was listed the lowest of any of the 4 and was the best maintained one on the market. I checked today and one in the UK just lowered the price $30,000.00. It's not a very good example and doesn't compare to ours. I'm interested to see what a drastic lowering of the price will do to the one in the UK.
The thing that I don't understand is that in the past 6 months only 3 people have been aboard to view her. That's what I don't get.
Hell, I'd even like to see someone give me a really lowball offer. I don't even get that. We've put more than 25,000 miles under the keel and have upgraded her to be a secure self reliant cruising home that turns heads.
