I've been away from here for a long time, so please excuse if this has been discussed endlessly. Last season I used Petit's Hydrocoat bottom paint. I loved its easy of application, the easy clean up, and the lack of killer fumes due to the water base. However, the paint is extremely soft and was scraped off very easily by things like the anchor chain or just floating debris. Also, I ended the season with a pretty good crop of big barnacles, that I hadn't seen using traditional paints. I will say that because the paint is so soft the barnacles come off easily too, if there was still paint over the area. Anybody have any other water-based bottom paints to report on?
