    • I hear ya, I just thought the simplicity of a mechanical gauge...
    • If simplicity is the issue, then a sight guage is best
      • Sight gauge requires access to the side of the tank... Mechanical float gauge only requires access to top.
        • A surveyor once told me a sight gage doesn't meet "code"

            • I'm not sure that USCG does have those regs for DIESEL tanks.
              • Drain in the bottom works well
                • It's not easy, when ABYC makes you pay to read
          • Site Guages are Allowed (as are bottom drians) for Diesel Tanks by H-33 (see below)
