It looks like you really worked through what was important and then designed to those criteria. Nothing is perfect. You still have to reach the buttons either through or over the wheel. If the autopilot is very active, that could be a little tricky. The drop-down dodger negates having the charplotter or other instruments in that area, a tradeoff you went for. As cruisers, we're away from the wheel and under the dodger a lot. Not a great place to be the few times our autopilot has acted up.
I'd like to hear about your mainsail-catcher lazyjack design. Do you have a photo with the lazyjacks rigged and the sail up. We probably need to do some rethinking of our own rig because Susie is simply too short to complete furling our mainsail. Also, three lazyjack lines to the main is about one short of optimum.
That pop-up dodger is really nifty. I see that it drops forward to keep your winches and companionway useable. Brilliant! The solar panels are flexible and removable?
