I did my time (most of it in the Armys 2nd Ranger battalion) and I was there to protect and defend the constitution. All of it. Including the 13th amendment.
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
I regret as all good Americans do the degradation of the social fiber of our society, but I do not believe having a slave army is the way to solve it. I protested against the draft back in the early 70's and would do so again if it were reinstated.
