Pilot House 38. She draws about 5 feet, 11.4 beam. She motors at about 6.25 to 6.5 knots and sails to 7 knots on a reach. That's fully loaded for extended cruising. She has 350 watts of solar, a 3.5kw diesel generator, twin alternators, a kiss wind generator, water maker and air conditioning and the list goes on. She's been a good boat for the past 15 years that we've owner her and we have no planes to ever start over with another boat. As for powering, when the waves get below about 4 seconds and 30 knots she pretty much gets driven to a stop but if I can get any angle on the wind at all with the stay sail she will keep powering through most stuff. Then it becomes a comfort level issue. She behaves very well hove-to as well.
