I bought a little pilot house this year

to replace my beloved Lecomte Northeast 38. There is nothing as enjoyable as motoring along in the rain ( wipers on ) thinking of all those miserable days spent in the cockpit of Hope in the rain/fog/mist. I miss the luxury of the big boat room and big sea sail ability but I am having a lot of fun with my little trailer boat.

I bought a Nimble Kodiak 26. 4500 lbs on a twin axle trailer. She cruises at 70 mph to my destinations.. Launch or retrieve in about 1 hour. 34" draft is a lot of fun in the bays and gunk holes. Motors at 6 kts or sails at 5.5 ( but really does not point to wind very well ) I have been doing some lake sailing, going to Penobscott bay (going all the way up Perry Creek) the first week in Sept, and planning a trip to the Florida keys this winter.
