just went to the boat and checked the switches. Each turned on and off and all the gear one the circuit worked when selected on. So I don't think it was a bad switch.

Batteries are taking a long time to charge with the one 85 W panel working on a small backup controller. I originally installed the batteries in 03 or so, so I knew they needed to be replaced. So it's not a big problem. During our cruising when we were on board they never went below about 50% DOD. I think I got my use.
