I had considered just not registering it at all.

But then I think about using it in the different places we will be going. If I do have a state ID on it, I will not get stopped by ANY state waters I am in. If I have no numbers on it, who knows what takes place when we move from place to place.

Our plans (carved in smoke at this time) is to spend 3 or 4 months back in the San Francisco Bay area this summer. Then maybe the Pacific Northwest for another 3 or 4 months. Then perhaps 6 months in the Florida area the year after. And how about the Bahamas? With no numbers on it, I am looking over my shoulder all the time.
