We've had cruising friends that will not go visit the US because of the burden the US puts on them with their boat. And they travel at the awesome speed of 5 - 10 kts. Arrive in a plane, rent a car and you can be half way across the US in a day or so.

To bad the US is so inhospitible to those in the cruising community.
