I'm wondering if there's anyone that has converted their winches to electric?

I have a Catalina 36 w/Lewmar 48s that can be converter to electric. Due to a deteriorating shoulder problem I've known for awhile that I'd have to go this route someday, so I have the money set aside for the conversion kits. I want to do the job myself, (while I still have the mobility), to save the install costs. I don't want to do the 24v angle drill thing; I'm prepared to do this the Lewmar way.

What pitfalls might I encounter on this job? I know the wiring will be a bit of a challenge.
