Use butyl rubber calk or tape
get it here
Does anyone know what the shelf life of this tape is?
I was wondering that too.
most of the stuff I buy in tubes ends up in the trash.
In the tropics I had to replace tubes every year.
Anyone want to split an order with me?
Larry...
Thanks. Sent you an email
What have you used this on? Time frame?
I am using this on my Ariel right now.....

Hmmm, so you find that it doesn't keep water out effectively?
I disagree with Maine Sail on the suitability of the butyl caulk
Maybe I'll be okay then... thanks for sharing your experience.
Don't re-bed...
Thanks...
On this note...
Hey Westie, I have some.
Thanks, Hagar, I'm as yet undetermined..
How temperature dependent is this butyl for installation?
I have been using it in those temps
A caveat in colder temps...
I replaced the fixed ports on my C&C27 last summer
