Why? I feel that we need more helm than we should in normal sailing
Weight of an end plate would be trivial. I estimate a few pounds. Rudder stock is 80 mm diameter,and the stock with rudder weigh about 150 pounds
I am hoping that an end plate would allow less helm angle, hence less drag
