I'm writing an article, Sailing to Maine. It's aimed at the first time visitor, this may be their first "big" cruise. Think a young couple or a retired couple planning this sail. This article will be broken into 2 parts; 1-the straight line overnight, 2-the coastal hop.

I'm most interested in where are your favorite stops along the way(you don't need to have sailed the whole route, I'm looking for info along the way), and why would you recommend them?

Any info or advice, time-line experience, you might give to a friend contemplating their first sail to Maine from Cape Cod-south, I would love to hear it. Thanks!
