Okay, you're out of the canal or around the cape and coming up on Boston Harbor

As you start your jog left into the main channel to enter Boston harbor you can see the long stretch of Nantasket's white, sandy beach off your port quarter. As you round the shore you can hear the swish of the blades from the 165' windmill at the base of Hull Gut and circling around through the narrow channel, you can almost feel the draw of the blades tugging at your sails. Draw in close keeping the windmill on your port and round the point. The current here is fast, the channel narrow, and the winds shifty but it's a short, 100 yard stretch. Vigilance is paramount as much of Boston Harbor's traffic funnels through this narrow passage and it's a favorite for fishing boats floating through with engines at idle. Continue around into Hull Bay and skirt the shores of Bumkin Island then through the narrow but well marked channel up the Weir river into Worlds End. There you'll find a pond smooth anchorage all around the west and south side of the large mud flat. It's covered at mid tide but forgiving if you bump into it. Anchor in 10' of soft, muddy bottom. Weekend anchorage is not recommended as party boats with raft up number in the teens will take over and not settle in until the wee hours of the morning.

Spend a quiet night here or dinghy over to Nantasket beach for some fun boardwalk activities including an old, classic carousel
