Susie and I will be venturing close to a lot of CSBBers cruising area, leaving tonight for San Juan. We'll be getting aboard at the east end of Puerto Rico a couple days later. Are any of you folks in the area? Any recommendations for destinations along the way to and through the Bahamas?
We'll be rejoining Iain and Ruth, Malo 42 "Bizim" which started in Seattle back in 2006, went down the west coast, through the canal out to the east coast of the US and Caribbean, then on to Turkey where they kept the boat 2008-2012 when the started the journey back to the US. Now they're back across the pond heading for their new home in the Chesapeake. This is the same boat previously owned by Tom Keffer, occasional poster here when it was named "CatsPaw". He had sailed it from the PNW to the South Pacific (yours truly on S.D. to Marquesas leg), later up to the Queen Charlottes in BC. This boat has been around! We're looking forward to getting back aboard.
Off to do chores and packing.
Sorry I haven't been on CSBB much this winter.
