Expensive at West End ...
In Response To: What is the West End like? ()

West End (Old Bahama Bay) can be expensive if you dont secure a discounted docking agreement for several days ... usually available 'before' fishing season begins. So secure your 'bargain' before you go there. Its a 'resort' with little to do other than 'resort-sy' stuff. The restaurant at OBB is quite good. The Bahamian $300 entry/cruising fee will apply, even for a weeks stay.
Usually most bypass West End (via Memory Rock or further north on the banks) and make for Great Sale Cay, etc. as an intermediate / temporary stop into or out of the Abacos.

Freeport is similar to Nassau (without Paradise Island), ... you dont go out a night. Lucaya is a 'resort town' with cruise ships. No good anchoring anywhere near either of them.
