We're anchored between Big Majors Spot and Little Majors due to strong westerly. Wet dinghy ride in to SC Yacht Club yesterday, great rowdy happy hour and the race televised. Sat next to youthful owners of a Westport 130 having a jolly evening. Not fitting the mold for that ilk. Boats at the dock were having a pretty wild ride. The Westport floating breakwater helped those inside of them a bit.

We got skunked for Thunderball Grotto today due to conditions, and no walk in town either due to weird problem with dinghy engine. So relaxed swim from boat.

On to Wardrick Wells tomorrow assuming buoy available.

Yamaha 4 stroke 8 horse seemed to start cavitating on way to boat last night then more like slipping tranny. Doesn't seem to be shift linkage. Possibly slight metal on metal sound when revved in gear. Definitely cuts what we can do for exploring. Prop has some divots but very unlikely just cavitation. Got worse suddenly but didn't hit anything. Life's good anyway!
