I have nearly no directional control while backing. Although oddly, since replacing the exhaust system, the boat does seem to back better... but then again, it may have been the way the winds have been blowing lately.

I think I need to go to the public pump out dock during a low wind morning and play with backing again. I had pretty much given up on it... I walk the boat out of the slip, and I avoid situations that would require me to back up.
