Naive to think of maintaining cruising style in smaller boat?

Tom, DavidP, PaulD -- I think perhaps you're right, it will be difficult to keep the same cruising area/style with a smaller boat. Before my 34', I had a 28' and while indeed the 34' is more work to prepare for the season, it is also easier and much more comfortable to cruise in. Perhaps it is foolish to think that I could maintain that same level in a smaller boat and maybe the next step is in effect to trade coastal cruising for day sailing. We always say, when we return to the home mooring, "well this looks like a nice town, why don't we stay here for a few days"....
