I think you should move-on.

You've been very reasonable and thoughtful to offer to take care of the injectors because you were concerned that somehow you were responsible. In this case I think it's just one of those things. You offer to contribute of a couple hundred dollars (or whatever) was very reasonable.

By the way, spend the money on a RACOR Filter, if you don't have one already :^)))
