I just don't see how speaking engagements for sailing clubs or blog advertisments and a following can give them the lifestyle they're living. Making documentary films doesn't make money either. Even living aboard a small vessel costs more than living ashore and she has some nice stuff hanging off her neck in photos.
Perhaps I'm clueless on how easy it is to live the good life today (I don't see it as minimal) and how easily the 'new modern media' can fill your pockets enough to explore purchasing a Valiant 40.
Re selling your boat,,,, It's not difficult to sell your boat when you're an old fart. You just keep lowering the price till someone makes an offer. That's what I did.
Again, I say good for them. I just don't see it as anything special.
