As to boats..Brewer's or Hallberg Rassy, Hans Christian, Swan, Oyster..basically high end well built/over built

NO Hunters or Beneteau or Jeanneau lots of others fit this category more recreational boats but people have sailed these around the world too.

good weather even a marginal boat can be fine..bad weather even a great boat can have trouble..same for the skipper, inexperienced skipper and good weather no problem..bad weather even an expert skipper can be in trouble.
