like for good? When did that happen? It has been a while since we were in San Diego of course, but I thought that power plant was an absolute necessity to SDG&E?

I remember a big ad in the Union Tribune for "temporary help" at San Onofre. It was a two week gig scrubbing out cooling water pipes at the plant during a maintenance shut down. They figured that two weeks was just about right for maximum radiation exposure, so the plan was to get a bunch of people looking to make big dollars for two weeks and just keep cycling the workforce through until the work was done. I thought about it, the money was good, but then decided it might be a bad idea so never followed through......ahh, the good old days.
