crap on de back that's not thought out hurts the eye. I don't mind seeing a cruising boat festooned with all the "cruising gear" when it done smartly and with some consideration. Anyone who has cruised for any length of time will tell you that you need "stuff" to be safe and comfortable. Keeping the wife comfortable may cost you some stuff that you would rather not have on board but, if you're smart, you'll learn to live with it. Sealing your self off from the world with full cockpit enclosures, 6 or 8 jerry jugs and as bike fall into the category of Kroozer that puts my wife out of her mind. She told me that she would cruise for as long as it was fun but that the boat couldn't look like it had been away from the dock for more then a week. Sometimes it was hard to keep her up and stripping the teak in Puerto Vallarta and rebuilding the varnish wasn't fun but it kept us out of trouble. Part of the adventure..
