Although, I prefer to think of myself as "efficient" instead! I haven't taken my batteries off for about 5 years. I mark the charge in the fall and it is rarely more than a tenth or two lower in the spring. I have a battery monitor and watch pretty closely in the spring and don't notice any issues so far. Living in New Brunswick exposes the boat to plenty of cold weather but, again, so far no ill effects. In any case, I decided the last time I lugged batteries off the boat that I will gladly trade a year or even two of battery life in order to avoid the annual lifting of batteries.
