I was in that situation for years! Now my

biggest issue is when a manufacture changes his hole pattern. I'm in the replacement mode. On some items the second and third times. It's always a bummer to buy the exact same modle only to find that somewhere in last few years some idiot decided to move the hole pattern a half inch off the original. That's about the only time I need to drag out the drill. That's another reason to find a boat that you're happy with and to stick with her. I always tell people to set up your project with the thought of replacing it later. Install terminal blocks instead of crimp connections and thing like that. It really makes life easy down the line.
