Okay, I know that the serious craftsmen on this BBS may scoff at these toys but... I have been using these products for five years. The lithium ion batteries and the NiMH batteries have performed well and lasted for years. I have gradually added compatible tools: drill, angle drill, orbital flat-iron shaped sander, halogen spotlight, LED work light. It is nice having several batteries, a fast charger and tools that accept the same batteries. I have no doubt that commercial level day-in-day-out use would kill these, but for my occasional jobs they are just what I need.

One battery and light did die prematurely. I watched it spiral down to a depth of about 30 feet in Bahia de Los Muertos after I kicked it overboard. It stayed lit for a surprisingly long time, but eventually was.. uh.. muerto. No fault of Sears.
