I use impact drivers every day at work.... 
In Response To: Bruce you will love the clutch UNTIL ()
....but they are typically pneumatic. I also have a nice Snap-On 14.4v impact driver for work outside the shop. It is a great tool!
The clutch on the Festoon is so refined that I actually use it to assemble the many wood screws on the boat that I occasionally remove to get at something. Perfect torque every time!
I really have never seen anything like it before...
