We purchased it to keep our satellite television and refrigerator running during power outages. With the tri fuel generator we kept 4 propane tanks full along with both gas tanks on the truck full allowing us to go perhaps 3 months.

If the generator on TD went out we had the engine with a 130 amp alternator but no other backup charging system system other than the Kiss wind generator but it only returned about 50 amps a day.

Our plan B was to rough it using the Engle 35 as the refer and the engine alternator to charge the batteries and just use minimal amps. We also had the Kiss which would put enough amps in to start the engine, marine radios and perhaps keep the Engle going strong. Hmmmm, I guess that's not roughing it at all.
