I have never seen the number of boats out of the water and for sale at RCR Yachts. They literally have no room on their lot or the adjacent grass areas. Several people at the club have put their boats up for sale, two purchased tow behind campers instead, a couple are just getting out and then the sail to trawler group I mentioned here before.
Not sure what we are going to do at this point. A trailerable boat is not the answer here anymore Larry. The local waters have been "discovered" by Bassmaster Magazine and the pro tour people for both bass and walleye. It is shoulder to shoulder at all the local ramps now with rude people that are in a hurry to get in or get out of the water. It seems like one tournament after another. The algae issues are further west on the open waters of the lake where it shallows up. Ohio and the islands. Pleasure boaters are far outnumbered by the bass boat crew now.
Hard to say how this will all shake out. It has been tough to get the fever like I have had in the past. Not sure if it is the year, the weather, our schedule or me just getting old? It's such a short season even on a good year.
