The lake is the lake, you just have to deal with the conditions.
The cons? Without getting bogged down in the details, we have the boat, the house with pool and hot tub and the cabin in the mountains. All require time and maintenance which is all I seem to do. I end up being the maintainer, not a user of, which I find very, very frustrating. Selling the boat is an effort to simplify life by getting rid of the one thing we use least. This season, with the weather, means less than normal use of the boat. I have had visions of making a trip around the great lakes for years, never happens. The kids are not boaters, I don't think our one son even knows what we have now. On the other hand, we really enjoy our time in the mountains and the whole family gathers there, huge fun for everyone. It just seems like the thing to do.
The decision being tabled is an effort by the Admiral to see how we feel after the initial discussions. She believes I am over reacting to a lousy weather related season and a busy personal schedule with both boys and their girlfriends getting married this year. I don't see that but I'm open to her point of view of course.
