I just reread the original post and noticed that he describes his daily power needs as fairly modest, about 80Ah/day. That being said, I stand by my recommendation of the smaller & cheaper unit.
While in New Zealand, I rewired one of my 40A chargers (we have 2) so it could be plugged into a 220V extension cord. It supplied more than enough for our needs, even with a teenager addicted to his X-Box.
On a side note, you wouldn't believe how much current that d%mn X-Box & monitor drew. Between the X-Box itself, the monitor and the inefficiencies of the inverter, it drew over 25A whenever he turned it on! On the other hand, because it used so much power, when away from a marina (pretty much constantly for a year and a half), it was a daily question after I checked the batteries as to how long he was able to use it. I was, of course, very conservative with my answer ("We could probably handle 2 hours today." or "No more than an hour and a half today."). It was a great excuse to limit his use of the thing.
