deeply discharged and left that way. If the battery is kept at a full or nearly full charge state sulfation would not be a problem.
Max's plan is to keep the batteries at or near full charge by having the charger on 24/7. The only time they would be drawn down at all was on the rare occasions that power draw exceeded charger output and that would be quickly replaced. I don't see a sulfation issue.
I have done this many times living aboard in marinas and have not had a problem. I get 5-6 years on my 8 Trojan T-105s.
