Dual Approach - Counter and Alarm

We have an couple of counters for the bilge pumps in the sail locker (forward) and the main bilge. Then we have an Aquamarine combination panel -- BUT THEY MAKE LESS COSTLY System which are standard.

Simple, reliable, and inexpensive. The alarm will wake you if you're sleeping anywhere on the boat without a remote bell/gong -- unless you want to wake-up the marina.

Our panel has water flow sensors on the flow to the generator and engine, bilge alarms for the forward, main, and engine compartment bilges.

Aquamarine will make-up a custom panel for a lot less than you should think.

The bilge pump counters are simple to install. You can put an external light which will let you know that something is energized -- you can, if you wish make it something you'd see from the helm with a LED if you wish.

Realty is that you were lucky enough to be there when a big hose let go. if you're not there, a little hose 18-24" below the water will flood a lot of water in an amazingly short period of time if it the hose gets disconnected.
