I have a very dry boat... the only time there is water in my deep bilge is when I am doing some project that spills water. Otherwise, I dust out the bilge.

I should have a jesus pump just for safety reasons; and that project is on my list, but at this point, I just have a big Bosworth Guzzler mounted in the cockpit locker. I replaced it 3 years ago with a new one, as the old one was so dried out.
